Motherhood -- Incredible

The incidence that I am sharing with you is real and incredible!!!

On the occasion of Sankranti, [an Indian Festival] I was very busy with household works, preparing sweet and hot dishes, with all the traditional offerings and prayers….

As it is the festive of 3 days, I was busy planning for each day… then what I notice is, my maid didn’t turn on first day of festive… I thought as it is festival, so she didn’t turn up But she didn't turn up for next 3 days as well… we tried to find out the reason for her disappear. Where in we found that our maid has cattle’s and one of her cows has given birth to a baby calf. And unfortunately, the calf disappeared the day after its birth.

The mum cow was so disturbed by the incidence that it started roaming around in the down village, not ready to come down to its shed. And the maid, who is the owner of this cow, is searching for the calf. Gave a police complaint and spread a word in the village and so on…tried her best to find the infant calf.

After 6 days of incidence, my maid turns up to domestic work… and when I happened to ask her about the leave, she explained me the whole insight to which I was literally dazed!!!

In detail…

While searching for the calf, my maid who lost her hopes after searching for 2 days… tried to get the mum cow back to its shed… the mum cow refused by stabbing with its horns and was wondering near one particular house and was mooing looking at the entrance as if it is indicating its master to go into that house.
The maid got suspicious and requested to allow her inside the house for a search, wherein the members of that house refused. One male member of that house has come out to fight and push my maid out and the mum cow smelled him and started rushing into the house. My maid, the master of the mum cow, controlled the cow by yelling at it loudly. But whenever, the man came out of the house the mum cow became uncontrollable and started mooing loudly as if she recognizes the kidnapper.

As the mum cow moos then there was a slow moo sound from inside that house and the maid, realized that the calf is in this particular house and started fighting for the calf. The maid went to police station to pressurize the thief, but didn’t work that way. Again the maid went to the village and gathered all the villager and village heads for justice and stood in front of that thief’s house. The man refused to give back the calf, and tried to push away the maid, master of the cow out of his premises. That was the moment when the mum cow reacted offensively, and just pierces the man with its sharp horns….

And guess what? The man had to get 20 stitches on the cut made by mum cow on one of his thighs.

At last after 5 days of struggle the mum cow gets its calf back… ultimately, the mum cow, baby calf and the master of these cattle’s are happy….

The best part is the judgment!!!
I guess even if the police arrested the thief, the punishment would be few months’ jail or some small amount of money…. But the mum cow punished the man in its own way and this scar is going to remain on his body for lifetime that would remind him of this mamma cow every time he looks at the scar…Next time he will think hundred times before acting on such insane operation.

When we think of a mother, what sort of a portrait we get in our minds? A compassionate woman who will sacrifice all her comforts and will work interminably in the home without expecting any monetary reward, only to take care of her children. Motherhood means sacrifice and pain from day one of conception. But this pain and sacrifice brings forward a beautiful feeling in a woman after she finds that her children are happy and healthy. That is the only reward she desires from her children. And that is motherhood. If motherhood is full of love, care, adore it is also about protection, teach the art of living and courage to fight for its children.

And his is true not only for humans but all mothers of the animal kingdom as well. A tigress will attack you and kill you if you dare to approach her cubs. In my childhood rabbit attacked my Aunt when she tried to touch the newborn baby kits. Every mother is ready to go to any length to save her young ones. For a mother, the child is her extension. This is not so for the fathers. But mothers treat the child as same as themselves. Why?

Nature gives this love to a mother so that the specie persists. Mothers are exceptional. The more a mother touches her children physically, the more loved they feel. They get the reassurance of the protection of the mother.

A child must always feel grateful to his/her mother because nobody else, including the father forgoes so much as the mother, to bring up the child.
Mother is God of love and compassion.

Salute to all the mothers in this world!!!

Being Human

Few days ago one of my friends sent me a link with a request to promote the campaign to awareness in the society on homeless old age people who are left out by their children.
I did my little bit by passing it to 50 people in my friend circle. But, what was bothering me was how is it going to help those helpless people? Being a layman in this web marketing, I couldn’t really understand how on the earth, these people are going to get benefited by promoting a link? And still it’s a question to me [appreciate if, some one can educate me on this].

When I was very young, in my childhood I have seen the joint families with grand parents, aunts, uncles, cousins etc… as I was growing I saw the family divisions after the grand parents death. Yet, the same values, ethics and cultures were taught that has to be followed by us. With all due respect to what we learnt we imply the same on ourselves and teach to our children. The core values like love, truth, togetherness, respect, kindness, help, understand and support each other etc. is carried forward generation by generation. Probably that may be the reason I could not understand the people who can literally ignore their parents when they get old leaving them on others. Feeling that just by sending some money and visit once a while is more than enough. What is that not stopping them to do such sad things? How they get the courage and heart to think of taking such step? And Why?

I remember a Drama in which I took part in my school days…. A drama that is little poetic in my native language, Telugu. I still remember this and many times used it in relevant situations as idiom, to make certain people understand their responsibilities.

It goes like this… There was poor farmer residing near jungle with his wife, son and his old father. The grand father was baby sitting, taking care of the home and looking after the poultry as the farmer and his wife were busy in the field. After few years the old man has become older and was mostly sick; always on the bed. The farmer’s wife could not bear her father-in-law and started abusing the old man and make issues out of it every day as she felt that he is fit for nothing and just a burden on the family. The child loved his grand father and felt very unhappy with his mothers’ behavior. But being a child he could not express his feelings. One day the old man has fallen ill and the farmer’s wife was not ready to take care of him, she insisted the farmer to send the old man out of the house. The farmer could not handle the wife’s fights and abuse. The farmer positions his ill father on his shoulder and tells the son to come along with him by carrying a crow bar and a spade and walks into the forest. After getting into thick forest, the farmer makes his father sit under a big tree and starts digging the land. The farmers’ son doesn’t understand why his father is digging the land and why his grand father is crying sitting under the tree? The son goes to his father and asks:

Son: Father, father…
Father: Yes, my dear son…
Son: why are you digging the land?
Father: To make a pit.
Son: why do you need a pit?
Father: Your grand father has become a nuisance to me, that’s why this pit.

Listening to the farmers answer, the kid starts digging the land to make another pit.

Father: Oh! Dear son, why are you digging another pit?
Son: The treatment which you are doing to your father; must be done to my father as well, when I grow old, that’s why this pit.

The farmer gets shocked with the son’s answer and cries a loud holding his father and takes him back home.

As children we look up to our parents, elders, teachers and people around us. We follow them blindly and adopt all the habits from them. Good or bad, we just learn from them and apply them in our life.

As we grow we learn to judge the right and wrong…. Still why the wrong step? The moral values are not inculcated from childhood or molded as per conveniences.  Why people forget that, what you give, will get back the same. I see people greed for the forefathers property, dowry what not…. easy money!!! But when it comes to responsibilities they just dust the hands and stay back as if they are not part of it.

The ethics, values and culture do not teach someone to be rude to others… they always taught the positive way of dealing with people. We can see this wrong attitude everywhere, not only in the families, in colleges, offices, and social circles. Students bully one another; relatives look down on each other showing off there fake courage and immoral behaviors. Laugh on poor people, look down on illiterates, insults the one fallen in life…. Every thing is learnt right from childhood, and the learning is never ending IF one really wants to. These negative attitude and behavior like disrespecting elders, ignoring and leaving them on others, insulting someone, bullying co-student or college are all because of unethical up bringing. If one feels that they are right by doing such things, then they must know that they are not able to see the reality. They badly need reality check on themselves. Insulting, bullying, looking down on others, loose talks; all these are done for false status and are only the fake courage, low self esteem of audacity. Real courage exists in the one who takes all the insults, still climb to success in spite of the harassment, maltreatments.

Changing according to time is not bad; leaving the moral values and ethics is not good. No culture, community, religion in the world teaches to misbehave and live irresponsibly.

Along with the informative education, its Extremely important to get educated on morals, ethics, values and cultures for overall growth and development as Human.

Beauty of Life...

If we are on the river of life; its obvious to go with the flow and its likely we are going to hit a few rocks, as we don't know to control ourself in that flow. I believe, thats not being in negative way; its only the process of becoming perfect; path of learning accuracy.

Getting hit by rocks is nothing but failing in some things as we don't know what is that accuracy at that stage. And with that we get experienced, the experience that is useful in further life. Experience in both ways anticipating the problem and solution for upcoming problem. Indeed this gives a strength, and calmness to the mind.

Some body said,"Experience is not what happens to a man, it is what a man does with what happens to him."

All of us have faced some experiences or other in life, the question is, How we dealt with that situations? What experiences we gained out of it?

The success doesn't come like a piece of cake to anyone, there must be so many failures, bad experiences, sacrifices and rejections behind that Success. We know that if, someone is successful its because of good decision, and to get into a state of making good decisions one must have experiences. The experiences are results of bad judgment. One who deals with situations and learn out of their mistakes will obtain the skills of making good decisions in their life. And, as we all know... Good decisions leads to success.

I believe one must act like that rock as well as the water in the river....in our lives, to Succeed.

When it comes to understanding, mingling with people... we must be like water which takes the shape according to the shape of container, the water gets diluted with milk or with any color.... just flows forward determined to reach its destination, even when got hit by the rocks. The strength and positivity of water teaches us so many things. And also teaches us not to get dilute with negative people as the water does with oils...

The rocks teaches us to be steady calmly even when you are hit by life again and again like the waves. The size and strength of the rock is not melted nor disturbed by the waves, they just hit and go away. Same with life, the problems, tough situations, come try their hand and go away and we being rock don't get affected by these challenges. And simply enjoy the challenge and move ahead with a smile....

And as we succeed and grow bigger and bigger then start acting like a Tree...

The bigger the Tree the deeper the roots. The higher the vertical, the closer to earth, the wider the horizon... It just grows calmly...in all the ways....

Simple don'ts to be followed....
Don't try to judge people around you, don't keep high expectation from other but from yourself... No Blame, no negativity, never imposing your decisions on other, don't try to control others, never under estimate yourself and others, don't enter into others space, live and let live.

Live life... happily, by enjoying the challenges... strong like rock.... understand and move forward like water and grow like a TREE....

All the best & God bless!!!!

Determination

Determination is like a vertebral column, an uninterrupted line. It is when every situation is fixed to an invisible aim that still, keeps everything together. Without determination, life becomes sprinkled. Determination keeps the pleasant experiences with it and leaves the unpleasant experiences by taking a lesson out of those unpleasant situations.

Determination makes you see straight into the objective that has to be achieved, it makes you sit straight and love everything because determination is all about moving forward with the lessons from bad experiences, bad situations and decisions. Determination allows you to focus on that Goal, the Objective that has to be achieved in your life, which is most important, than else thing. You have to feed the determination to nourish the qualities you wish to keep with you constantly by understanding it, examine it, and using it. The determination is part of oneself anyways… but it’s been winter for so long that it is gone under the blankets. Sometimes we have to locate them and appeal them to us.

Determine, what is that you want in your life? What is most important to you in your life?
What is stopping you to achieve it? How can you help yourself in reaching your goal?

Determination helps you Focus on your goal and with courage you can take a step forward into the area of difficulty, where there is no solid solution in mind BUT yet feeling that victory is ahead. Remember!!!  One cannot expect success staying in their comfort zone.

One has to come out of their comfort zone by stepping in the unknown area to achieve higher levels in their lives. Later, that risked area would become their comfort zone.

Determination keeps you stick with the objective with which you have started planning your goals. How you achieve it is just a process and as we learnt and experienced several times that, the procedure or process what we have planned may work or may not work.
With the determination, one will have the flexibility to shift into other process in order to achieve the aimed objective.

On the road of practice many incidences may distract our peace of mind and our determination. And when determine shatters; then, Hold your self back silently because silence brings the strength to go on, the steadiness to success, the courage to take challenges, the tolerance to understand, forgive and the softness to slip the past difficulties to unobserved and forget all the most horrible.

In the silence find the Value again, Value of self, Value of what you wanted to achieve…. then fall in love with the task you aimed for!!!!

As we know, Determination keeps the pleasant experiences with it and leaves the unpleasant experiences, by taking a lesson out it.

Continuation of - Understand the State Of Mind

 Hi All....

After reading precede article at least few might had carry on with virtual thought process on the questions left at the end of the topic.

Any way, our Government has certain department to follow some test in laboratory on new food products before they are launched into market, for consumers. These tests are done to see whether the food substances are health and safe to eat or are they adulterated?

Similarly, there is a test for forgiveness…

Well, If you have read the preceding part of Understand your State Of Mind, and while reading you felt at some point or other, that you can relate yourself, were you had experienced similar thing and very generously you have forgiven the people, forgot the experience and you have moved on in life.

For instance, imagine about the person who had pained you, cheated you, and broke your trust and faith. And you got to hear amazingly good news about this person and you feel gasp at hearing good news, then you must, the roots of hatred are still in your subconscious mind, creating a confusion within you.

And, suppose two years ago, you had a terrible road accident with painful wounds and fractures which you had to bear for more a month and half, where the pains were so much unbearable that you had experienced sleepless nights and some time doctors had to give you pain kills and a medicine to get you sleep.
And you are now telling that incidence in detail to your friend.
Now, your friend asks you – whether you are in the same pain now? You will give a strange look to him and you would say – I don’t feel the pain but I remember the experience.
That is the whole analysis!!! If you have forgiven someone for their mistake you will remember the experience but no longer the pain, which has hurt you.
If not, you are simply misleading yourself – you are not practicing the true art of FORGIVENESS.

And, when you can’t forgive whole-heartedly you can never forget –Remember unforgotten experiences perpetuate the bad experiences and that would result in similar experiences in future. Then, how to break this chain? Simply understand the situation are in, increase patience, appreciate your tolerance level, widen your mind of understanding others mindset and behavior, along with your heart of love and forgiveness. If you can help the person who is creating fuss, then only extend your hand OR just forgive and forget, which is now a days said as IGNORE.

By, Thinking that those bad experiences situations can affect you and your environment – you are actually creating that kind of environment again. Instead, you imagine, that you are so strong with highest level of Tolerance, and nothing can affect you, in turn your strong tolerance will effect positively on those bad environments, this will virtually kill the bad experiences and never allow them to get into reality. Don’t Believe? Try it with tolerance!!!!! IT WORKS…

I personally feel that we CAN practically deal with any kind of people or situations. It is just the matter of understanding and being honest to our self.

Remember!!!! Bad NEVER, EVER stronger than Good….

Understand the State Of Mind

Until the moment you understand your state of mind, how it creates rule, you will not stop BLAMING other people or situations for your failures in your life. It is your own thoughts and feelings in a particular situation that forced you to take decisions, which has messed up your future OR say destiny. In addition, you are well aware of your real, inner personality. No one knows you better than you. Not even the GOD who created you nor your mother who bought you in this world. It is only you who knows the real YOU. You are aware that the externals are not the causes and conditioners of your life and your experiences. Carrying a thought process that others can or have spoilt your happiness, your peace of mind, OR cheated you and left you no where in your life or in your carrier and you being innocent or helpless became the victim like a football from this square to that, feels you must combat and fight on others for survival and that is the right way to deal with – All these ideas expose their destructive personality, and when you understand that thoughts are the things that creates the feelings...

Thought + Feelings = Decisions รจ Destiny “A man is a model of his thoughts”--- Vahini

“ For as a man thinketh in his heart, so he is.”  PROVERBS 23: 7

Then, how do you understand yourself, others and situations around?

To start and develop understanding, one have to forgive and forget others mistakes and situations. No matter how big or small the situation or person is.

Most of the times in my trainings and counseling, I come across to people who say: Of course, we forgive and forget others mistakes or else it would be difficult to move on in life…. You won’t believe want kind of situations we have come across? You can even imagine…. And so on…
It is highly appreciable if they have forgive and forgot…
AND, How does one knows that they have really forgiven the person who has disturbed, by putting you in worst situations which resulted as bad experiences to you? We will do a simple Self-analysis test in my next post, to find out –

  • How honest we are when we say we forgive and forget others mistakes?
  • Are we true to our self?

Till then… Stay Cool!!!!!
